Thou Shall Not Kill But Kidnapping A-OK

So in case you missed it, on an episode of the Christian program The 700 Club, evangelist Pat Robertson called for the assassination of the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on the air by basically suggesting that it's time and more economical than a war. Here is the clarification that he gave today:

"I said our special forces could take him out. Take him out could be a number of things including kidnapping," Robertson said on his "The 700 Club" television program.

"There are a number of ways of taking out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted," Robertson added.

I'm with you Pat, the media is blowing things out of proportion. Personally, by "take him out," I thought you meant "dinner and a movie" but your explanation makes much more sense. [Link]
